Meet the Therapist
Camille Richards
LCSW and Owner
I was raised in a rural Utah town on my family's dairy farm. Alongside my 12 brothers and sisters, I fed calves, milked cows and from time to time cared for the lambs, pigs, and chickens that we convinced our parents to let us have. The summer after graduating high school I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a pediatric home health and hospice company. While working there I discovered my passion of caring for the mental health aspects that illnesses have on the individual and their family members. My lived experience with multiple chronic illnesses and meeting so many individuals in the chronic illness community has had a profound impact on me as a professional and has strengthened my desire to provide support and advocate for this community. A few months after I started college, I learned about OCD from a friend who was living with Harm OCD. It was my first time hearing what obsessions sound like and I was shocked to learn about how truly distressing OCD can be. My friend who I thought was an incredible person believed that he was a monster because of the hold OCD had on him. From that time on, I have developed a passion for helping individuals with OCD and Anxiety Based Disorders find relief and develop confidence and trust in themselves. These along with so many other experiences set me on my journey to becoming a therapist. In 2021, I graduated Utah Valley University with my Masters in Social Work degree and got to begin living my dream of being a therapist. I love being a therapist and am so grateful to get to be a part of each of my clients' journeys! Every client I've worked with past and present holds a special place in my heart and wherever they are in life I will always be cheering for them.
